Sheridan is the only municipality that was able to field enough candidates to hold an election in the 2025 general election on Nov. 4.
“This election will be conducted by mail. No polling places will be used. Ballots for this election will be mailed to active Sheridan Town voters only on Oct. 15, 2025. If you feel that you are registered to vote and do not receive your ballot, call the County Clerk & Recorder/Election Admin office immediately at 406-843-4270. Ballots must be received in this office by 8 p.m. on November 4th, Election Day, in order to be counted. You may drop your ballot off at
the Clerk &Recorders Office in the Madison County Annex Office Building, 103 W Wallace St, Virginia City, Mont., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. through Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, and then again on Election Day Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 7 a.m. till 8 p.m. If you are mailing your ballot, please allow plenty of time for it to arrive here. If you have any questions, please contact us at the number above,” wrote Paula McKenzie, Madison County Clerk & Recorder/Election Administrator.
