After changes made by the Montana Legislature this session, hunting families can now keep digital versions of all hunting licenses in the MyFWP mobile app.

To hunt in Montana, you must have a license and proper tags for the species you're planning to harvest. If you're hunting with a youngster, that can be a lot of paperwork to manage.

MTN's Chet Layman tells us the 2025 Montana Legislature took care of that problem—now, you just have to take your phone:
