Description

Get ready, because the 2025 Coeur d’Alene Resort Holiday Light Show is shining brighter than ever.

This year’s celebration promises pure magic — fireworks dancing over Lake Coeur d’Alene, thousands of glittering lights and holiday cheer that excites guests of every age.

Mark your calendar for Friday, Nov. 28, when the season officially kicks off. The festivities glow through Jan. 5. The beloved annual Lighting Ceremony begins at 5 p.m. with a parade down Sherman Avenue, filling downtown with color and excitement.

By 6 p.m., the lakeshore turns into a heartwarming scene as crowds gather to sing carols and welcome the season in true Coeur d’Alene style.

With more than 36,000 spectators expected, it’s set to be the most unforgettable year yet.

"I am truly blessed to be selected as the guest of honor for this year's event. It’s a privilege to celebrate not only the holiday lighting ceremony but also stand before our wonderful community that has supported the Hagadone Family throughout my career," said Judd Jones, CIO of Hagadone Corporation and president of Hagadone Technology.

Each holiday season, Coeur d’Alene becomes a glittering winter haven where families step into a world of holiday magic. The beloved Journey to the North Pole Cruises takes guests across the lake to Santa’s workshop — a signature tradition that began in 1986 with a single glowing fire truck and has since grown into an experience celebrated around the world, even featured live on ABC’s "Good Morning America."

“We work hard to make every stay feel extraordinary. Creating meaningful, memorable moments for families is what this season is truly all about,” said Bill Reagan, president of The Coeur d’Alene Resort.

Behind the scenes, a dedicated team of 15 works more than two months each fall — over 8,000 hours — to bring the Holiday Light Show to life, crafting every glimmering detail with care.

Reagan also shared one of his favorite traditions that sets The Resort apart:

“One of the things I love most is the memories created when our elves deliver cookies and milk right to guests’ doors,” he said. “And of course, the secret hotline to Santa — reserved just for our overnight guests — is a touch of magic families talk about for years.”
