Description

A 46-year-old woman is facing multiple charges in Flathead County District Court after allegedly pulling her pants down in front of children in December.

Danielle Dawn Dawson of Kalispell is expected to appear before Judge Amy Eddy on Jan. 22 for her arraignment on a felony charge of indecent exposure and a misdemeanor count of criminal trespass to property. She remains in the county jail with bail set at $25,000 following her arrest.

Kalispell Police officers began searching for Dawson on Dec. 22 after learning she had allegedly trespassed on the property of a Two Mile Drive apartment complex. Meeting with the property manager, officers learned that Dawson had approached a tenant asking to use their bathroom, which the tenant had allowed, according to court documents.

The property manager told officers that after using the bathroom, Dawson headed out to the parking lot, where she pulled down her pants in front of a group of minors, court documents said.

Speaking to the mother of one of the children, officers learned that Dawson started out by yelling at the minors. Then she allegedly yanked down her sweatpants to expose her underwear and her butt.

The mother of another child told officers that Dawson tried talking to the minors. When they ignored her, she allegedly said, "Well, Merry Christmas" and pulled down her pants.

Officers tracked Dawson down near a casino on U.S. 2 West and arrested her, court documents said.

Because of the age of the victims, Dawson faces between four and 100 years imprisonment and up to a $50,000 fine for felony indecent exposure. Misdemeanor criminal trespass is punishable by up to six months in jail and a $500 fine.
