Description
A Kalispell man was one of two people arrested by the FBI on drug dealing charges in Missoula over the weekend.
Joshua Stephen Roybal, 35, faces charges of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime in federal court following his Jan. 24 arrest. He made his first appearance in federal court in Missoula on Monday.
Federal authorities began homing in on Roybal after receiving a tip that he and another man, 54-year-old Patrick William Allen of Spokane, Washington, were dealing large amounts of fentanyl in the Missoula area, according to court documents. Allen allegedly also sold crack cocaine.
Allen, who was arrested Jan. 25, faces counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
The FBI Montana Regional Violent Crime Task Force investigated the case in cooperation with the Missoula County Sheriff's Office.
