Description
Glacier National Park plow crews are about 3 miles from Logan Pass on the Going-to-the-Sun Road.
Crews have started on the Big Bend and are down to pavement at Grouse Point. Snow depths are 4 to 8ht feet, Park spokesperson Gina Icenoggle said.
Hikers and bikers can go as far as the Loop on the west side; Grizzly pullout on the east side. The Grizzly pullout is about 6 miles up the road from Rising Sun.
The weather is supposed to be fairly good early on Saturday, but there’s a chance of rain later Saturday and all of Sunday, the National Weather Service is saying. Highs should be in the 50s at lower elevations.
Glacier’s secondary roads are plowed, but just a few are open to motor vehicles, including the Camas, Grist, Fish Creek and Quarter Circle Bridge roads.
The rest, like the Two Medicine, Many Glacier and Chief Mountain Road are closed to vehicles but open to hikers and bikers.
