Description

The Flathead Food Bank is holding a Mardi Gras Gala to help raise the needed funds to continue the mission of providing access to nutritious food.

The Food Bank serves both families and individuals, providing food to 19 schools and supporting six school pantries. The food bank's Backpack Program provides participating schools with enough food to supply qualifying children with four meals for the weekends.

To continue the mission at the Flathead Food Bank, it is hosting a Mardi Gras Gala fundraising event on Saturday, March 22.

The gala will feature an evening of entertainment by a Dixieland jazz band, dancers, stilt walkers, and captivating street performers. Attendees will be able to try their luck with fun games for a chance to win prizes and capture the memories of the night at the festive photo booth.

“This event is not only a fantastic opportunity for great entertainment, it is a crucial way for us to raise significant funds for the Food Bank,” said Chris Sidmore, executive director of the Flathead Food Bank. “We invite the public to attend this event to learn more about our mission, help us raise the funds necessary to support our community, and have fun!”

The Mardi Gras Gala will take place at the Red Lion Hotel, 20 N. Main Street, Kalispell. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for a cocktail hour and games, followed by an authentic Cajun dinner.
