Description
Authorities are asking the public for help tracking down a man they say attempted to rob and kidnap a woman at a Flathead Valley gas station last week.
The attempted abduction occurred at a gas station at the intersection of Montana 35 and 206 about 10:45 p.m., Dec. 11, said Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino. The would-be victim was sitting alone in her vehicle, he said.
During their interaction, the suspect intimated that he lived north of the gas station, but he headed south on Montana 35 after departing the gas station, officials said.
Authorities described the suspect as a 40- to 50-year-old balding white man who kept his reddish-gray hair in a ponytail. He was driving a full-sized early 2000s model Dodge Ram. The red pickup was outfitted with a ladder rack and there were toolboxes in the bed, officials said.
Authorities urge anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle to contact Flathead County Sheriff's Office Detective Drew Kammerzell at 406-758-5592 or [email protected].
