Description
Hand-Building Basics Pottery – 5-Week Session (Ages 11+)
Beginner, intermediate, and advanced potters are invited to join Libby Flach for this immersive 5-week pottery course focused on hand-building techniques. This student-led class supports all ability levels through guided instruction in forming, slipping, scoring, using slump molds, decorative surface treatments, and glazing.
Whether you're new to ceramics or looking to expand your skills, this class offers a supportive, small-group environment with both whole-group and one-on-one instruction. English and Spanish language instruction is available.
All materials and equipment are provided. Students are welcome to bring their own tools.
Community clay is included. Participants may create up to five vessels during the course; those wishing to exceed this limit will be charged a $30 shelf fee. Additional clay is available for $30/bag.
Optional weekly Open Studio access is available with $20 pre-registration. Only one makeup class is permitted due to illness or extenuating circumstances. If you’ll miss more than one class, we recommend registering for a future session.
No BASE pass is required to enroll. Contributions above the suggested class fee are tax deductible and support art access for others in the community.
