Intermediate+ Pottery – 10 Weeks:
Dates: September 23, 2025 - November 25, 2025
Time: Tuesdays, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: BASE Art Studio
Ages: 11–111 | Grades 6th to 18+
Format: Multi-week session
Intermediate and advanced potters are invited to join Zach Stephens for this immersive 10-week pottery course. This class is intended for students who have consistently taken All Levels Pottery and are independent wheel-throwers and hand-builders.
Please note: only intermediate and advanced techniques will be taught. No basic instruction will be provided.
Experienced potters can strengthen their craft and expand their skills under the guidance of a professional ceramic artist. With a small class size (maximum 8 participants), students will receive both group instruction and one-on-one coaching.
All materials and equipment are provided, though participants are welcome to bring their own tools.
Participants in this class also gain access to weekly Open Studio sessions. Pre-registration is required to secure a spot in Open Studio. Each Open Studio session costs $20.
English and Spanish language instruction available.
If you plan to miss more than one class during the session, please consider registering for a different or future class. Only one class may be made up due to illness or extenuating circumstances.
Additional fees:
– A $30 shelf fee applies if you plan to throw or build more than 10 vessels during the class
– Additional clay may be purchased at a rate of $30 per bag
Participants in Arts Council of Big Sky classes do not need a BASE pass to register.
Contribute-What-You-Can (CWYC) pricing is available. Any payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged via email.
